An industry-leading, construction services-based business is seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to shape the financial future of a growing organisation that operates at the forefront of its sector.

About the Role:
As CFO, you will serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO and leadership team, playing a key role in financial planning, governance, and business decision-making. You will oversee the financial health of the organisation, ensuring compliance, managing risk, and driving commercial growth through informed financial leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Provide financial guidance on business growth, strategy, and operational performance.
    • Lead financial aspects of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and long-term investments.
    • Develop financial models and scenario planning to support strategic decisions.
  • Financial Operations:
    • Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and tax planning.
    • Ensure accurate, timely reporting and compliance with statutory requirements.
    • Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Risk & Compliance:
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks.
    • Lead external audits and ensure internal controls are effective and compliant.
  • Commercial Support:
    • Partner with managers on pricing, tenders, and commercial contracts.
    • Support major projects through job costing, contract review, and financial analysis.
    • Build and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a dedicated finance team, driving high performance and professional growth.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, development, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 10+ years’ experience in senior finance roles, ideally in construction or related fields
  • CPA or CA qualification preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen and broad financial expertise across P&L, compliance, tax, risk, and audit.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, adaptable, and resilient.
