The business delivers a broad range of civil engineering projects across the ACT and Southern NSW for both government and private sector clients.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on diverse tenders valued from $2 million through to $100 million+, covering road construction, bridges, subdivisions and other civil infrastructure projects. You'll work alongside an experienced estimating team while taking ownership of bids from initial pricing through to submission.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate first-principles estimates for civil construction projects.
- Measure quantities, analyze tender documentation and identify discrepancies.
- Develop competitive pricing strategies and cost estimates.
- Prepare high-quality tender submissions, including methodologies, construction programs and non-price responses.
- Attend site inspections, tender briefings and pre-bid meetings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure successful project handovers.
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline (preferred).
- Previous experience estimating civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience with estimating software such as Expert Estimation is highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies and project costing.
- Proven ability to produce competitive, high-quality tender submissions.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
- Minimum of three years' experience within the civil construction industry.
