Commercial Director – Markets & Strategy
Lead the development and execution of the company’s commercial strategy across renewable energy assets and markets.
This role is responsible for understanding market dynamics, identifying and structuring revenue opportunities, and optimising asset value through a combination of offtake agreements, tolling structures, trading strategies, and hedging solutions.
The role sits at the intersection of markets, origination, trading, and asset optimisation, with accountability for maximising long-term value and managing commercial risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead deep analysis of renewable commodity markets relevant to the portfolio.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of market structures, regulatory frameworks, pricing drivers, and emerging trends.
- Map the competitive landscape, identifying key counterparties, developers, traders, utilities, and financial players
- Identify, originate, and structure revenue mechanisms including: offtake agreements, tolling arrangements and capacity contracts.
- Evaluate trade-offs between contracted and merchant exposure to optimise risk-adjusted returns.
- Lead negotiations for tolling and offtake agreements with utilities, traders, industrial customers, and aggregators.
- Design and oversee strategies combining physical offtake/tolling with trading and financial hedging instrument.
