We are supporting in the search for a Compliance Director to join a large engineering construction business.
Your responsibilities will include
- Maintain and develop compliance related policies and procedures to comply with corporate and regulatory requirements
- Undertake compliance risk assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of controls of business ongoing compliance with key laws, regulations and policies affecting the businesses
- Perform compliance audits at the projects’ site and investigate whistleblowing reports
- Provide oversight and compliance guidance to business including requirements on anti-corruption, privacy, local outsourcing, etc
- Supervise or perform due diligence on third parties
- Attend relevant company committee / advisory groups and present compliance topics
- Develop and deliver in conjunction with the Legal Department compliance related training
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, law or related field. Advanced degree or certification in compliance or a related field is preferred.
- Extensive experience in a similar role, preferably with a multinational company, or in a leading consulting firm.
- Knowledge of anti-corruption, privacy regulations, AML and ISO 37001: 2016. Exposure to the construction industry will be highly regarded.

- Availability to travel about 15% of the time across Australia, with some overseas travel.
