Design and Build are recruiting for a Construction Manager on behalf of a growing Residential Builder in Sydney.
This company is looking for an experienced Construction Manager who has local experience working within the project home industry and delivering a high volume of detached homes, programming and allocating work for Supervisors to head up the delivery of a healthy pipeline of work.
The company are established in the market and have a good office and software set-up to make this role easy to slot into. They have site offices in the southwest and northwest for this candidate to work at while they're out on the road during the week.
The successful applicant will be working with a company with a supportive and experienced leadership team.
Responsibilities:
The Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing 2 supervisors and a Maintenance Supervisor for investment projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing a team, excellent leadership skills, and experience working in the residential industry.
- Oversee and manage all phases of projects, including planning, execution, and closeout.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
- Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Address any issues or delays promptly and efficiently to keep projects on track.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager in the construction industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, preferably onsite companion
- A degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Holding a builder's licence will be highly regarded.
