We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee on-site delivery of a new utility-scale PV + BESS project. This position functions as an Owner’s Engineer–style site representative and is ideal for a senior construction professional who brings extensive experience working on major greenfield energy or infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the client on site and provide daily oversight of construction, installation, and testing activities for the solar and BESS project.
- Monitor EPC contractor performance to ensure adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and HSE management plans.
- Support the resolution of construction issues through coordination, technical input, and effective communication with contractors and stakeholders.
- Track progress, review schedules, and report risks, delays, and mitigation strategies to client representatives.
- Participate in site walks, inspections, toolbox talks, technical meetings, and design clarifications.
- Ensure all site activities comply with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and contractual obligations.
- Facilitate coordination between contractors, client engineers, and external service providers to maintain alignment and minimise delays.
- Support commissioning readiness, testing oversight, and final completion activities.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Construction Management, Site Supervision, or similar senior site-based roles.
- Proven experience delivering major greenfield infrastructure, ideally utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Strong background in electrical construction, electrical trade or engineering qualification preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage EPC contractors on large, complex energy or power-generation projects.
- Strong awareness of HSE practices, testing processes, and construction compliance requirements.
- Skilled communicator with the ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and maintain calm, clear leadership on site.
