The Opportunity
We are proud to be representing a leading Tier 1 head contractor in the search for a Project Director
to lead the delivery of one of Australia’s largest and most complex public health infrastructure projects
– a multi-billion-dollar hospital located in Western Australia.
This is a rare opportunity to play a central role in shaping the future of Western Australia’s healthcare landscape and to deliver a once-in-a-generation project from start to finish.
The Role
As Project Director, you will assume overall accountability for the planning, delivery, and successful execution of this high-profile project. You’ll lead a large multidisciplinary team and act as the key interface between the head contractor, state government stakeholders, design consultants, and delivery partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle delivery of a complex hospital development, from pre-construction through to completion and commissioning
- Engage and manage internal and external stakeholders, including direct interface with state government departments and health authorities
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, clinical, and commercial requirements
- Drive high standards in safety, quality, and risk management
- Foster a strong team culture with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and accountability
- Oversee program performance, financial management, procurement, and major contract negotiations
- Proven experience delivering complex, large-scale health infrastructure projects (>$500m)
- Extensive experience working with a Tier 1 or leading head contractor in a leadership role
- Deep understanding of health planning, clinical stakeholder engagement, and highly serviced building delivery
- Strong commercial acumen and contract administration experience
- Demonstrated ability to engage confidently with state government clients and senior stakeholders
- Able and willing to relocate to or live in Perth for the duration of the project
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction, engineering, or project management
- Be at the helm of one of Australia’s most significant health infrastructure investments
