We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a $7 million regional hospital refurbishment project in South Australia. Alongside this project, there will be opportunities to be responsible for an additional 2/3 projects or the option to work part-time and manage the hospital project only.
About the Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a live-environment hospital refurbishment, working closely with clinical stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and the client to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of project delivery, from design coordination through construction to handover
- Develop and maintain project programs, budgets, and risk registers
- Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to meet project milestones
- Liaise with hospital staff and stakeholders to minimise disruption to clinical services during works
- Ensure strict compliance with WHS, infection control, and health facility guidelines
- Manage project reporting, variations, and client communications
- Drive quality assurance and ensure works meet all relevant codes and standards
About You
- Proven experience as a Project Manager on commercial construction projects, ideally within healthcare, health infrastructure, or similarly regulated environments
- Demonstrated experience managing projects of comparable scale ($5M+)
- Strong understanding of working in occupied/live facilities, particularly around infection control and staged handovers
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Current driver's licence and ability to work on-site in regional South Australia
- Competitive package commensurate with experience
- Opportunity to lead a meaningful project delivering real community benefit
- Supportive team environment with a well-established organisation
- Career development and progression opportunities
