About the Role
A respected builder delivering high‑quality commercial & social housing multi res developments across Melbourne’s inner city, eastern, and south‑eastern suburbs. With projects in areas like North Melbourne, Carnegie, Balaclava, and Clayton, we're seeking a skilled and dedicated Contract Administrator to support our project delivery team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer construction contracts on design‑and‑construct or lump‑sum projects, including social housing and apartment developments.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and internal stakeholders.
  • Track deliverables, including variations, claims, and modifications, ensuring compliance with contract terms and budgets.
  • Support in preparing contractual documentation, assessments, and reports to aid project leadership.
  • Contribute to project financial control processes: cost monitoring, risk analysis, and progress reporting.
  • Assist with commercial close‑out: final accounts, defect registers, and handovers.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven experience administering contracts for medium- to large-scale construction projects (in commercial or multi residential).
  • Strong understanding of procurement methods, contract types (e.g., lump sum, D&C), and construction law.
  • Exceptional organisational ability, attention to detail, and capacity to juggle competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to interface across disciplines.
  • Proficiency in contract management systems and Microsoft Office; familiarity with cost control tools a plus.
  • Australian working rights; experience in Melbourne’s local construction environment is advantageous.
Why Join
  • Support social housing projects that positively impact Melbourne communities.
  • Work in a collaborative environment with a team dedicated to quality, innovation, and sustainable practices.
  • Engage in diverse and meaningful work across multiple stages of project delivery—from documentation to close-out.
  • Flexible contract arrangements to accommodate professional commitments and project requirements.
  • Longevity and stability with a strong pipeline of work.
