Our client is a highly reputable tier-3 builder, operating across commercial, public sector and government-funded projects throughout Victoria. They deliver complex and high quality builds (including health, education, local government).
They are seeking a motivated and experienced Contract Administrator
with a proven background in commercial or government contracts, to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer contract documentation (main contracts, subcontract agreements, variations, extensions, claims) across a portfolio of projects
- Manage variations, claims, entitlements, notices and correspondence, ensuring alignment with contract terms and conditions
- Review contractor/subcontractor claims, assess entitlement, negotiate with external parties
- Ensure compliance with procurement processes, contract governance, risk mitigation and audit obligations
- Interface with project management, design, QS / cost control and site teams to ensure contractual obligations are met
- Assist with tender contract drafting and contract strategy input
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Contract Administrator or Contract Manager role
- Experience working within a tier-3 builder or on commercial / government / infrastructure projects
- Excellent negotiation, communication, drafting and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to interpret contract/legal documents and collaborate with legal advisors
- Degree or diploma in construction management, quantity surveying, law or related field (preferred)
