Contracts Administrator
Design and Build are looking for an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our client, a national Tier 1 commercial building contractor. This is a real opportunity to gain exposure to a top tier project and work with a team of likeminded, high performing individuals.
Reporting to the Senior Contracts Administrator, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of contracts, supporting the commercial team through procurement, reporting, and cost management. This position is site-based, and travel will be required if you're not local to the project area (travel and accommodation arrangements will be provided).
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience as a Contracts Administrator working on commercial construction projects. You should also be able to demonstrate a proven track record of longevity with previous construction companies.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Relevant Contracts Admin or Project Management experience
- Confidence in your abilities to communicate with Senior Management and subcontractors alike
- Autonomy to work individually and as a part of a team
- Understanding of construction practices and processes
- The ability to write a detailed scope of works
- Intimate knowledge of Qld Construction legislation
- Knowledge of environmental management responsibilities
- Experience with head contract and subcontract negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites and CHEOPS experience is required

- Contractual dispute resolution
- Heavily involved in the procurement process
- Prepare subcontractor documents
- Monthly preparation and presentation of project reports
- Financial monitoring and planning
- Preparing and presenting progress claims
- Stakeholder engagement and management
- Adhere and value safety principles and practices
