Design Draftsperson
We are working with an established builder developer delivering a high volume homes across Sydney.
Due to a busy year ahead, they are now looking for a Design Draftsperson to join their team.
The Design Draftsperson is responsible for preparing high-quality residential drawings, CGI visualisations, and presentation documentation across all stages of the design process. Working closely with the Design team, this role ensures all documentation is accurate, coordinated, and compliant with NSW planning controls, Council requirements, CDC provisions, building codes, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate residential drawings and documentation for concept design, DA/CDC submissions, approvals, and construction documentation.
- Produce high-quality CGI imagery, walkthroughs, and presentation material for internal and marketing purposes.
- Interpret and apply NSW planning controls, LEPs, DCPs, CDC requirements, and relevant building codes.
- Liaise with internal teams, consultants, and external service providers to coordinate revisions and approvals.
- Ensure all documentation is delivered accurately, on time, and in line with company standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting processes, design quality, and documentation standards.
- Previous experience producing ArchiCAD documentation for residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of NSW Council and Complying Development approval pathways.
- Advanced proficiency in ArchiCAD and experience with CGI/3D visualisation software.
- Tertiary qualifications in Architecture or Building Design.
- Strong communication, presentation, and time management skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
