Position: Design Manager

Design & Build has partnered with a leading EPC business on some of Australia's key energy transition projects, including multi-million-dollar developments involving solar, BESS, transmission & substations.

- Cost management: Monitoring and controlling design expenditures using robust tracking systems to optimise budgets and prevent overruns.
- Design governance: Ensuring all deliverables meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards through effective QA processes.
- Technical oversight: Directing primary & secondary design, conducting design reviews, and collaborating with external consultants on electrical studies.
- Proven experience as a Design Manager on major energy infrastructure projects (HV/EHV substations).
- Primary design engineering experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Bachelor of Engineering)
- CPEng or working towards it
- Membership (or eligibility) with a relevant engineering body (e.g. Engineers Australia)
