About the Company Our client is a boutique, close-knit residential design firm known for delivering high-quality design outcomes across:
- Custom homes
- Duplexes
- High-end architectural residences
- Select multi-residential projects
The Role Reporting directly to the Directors, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a small design team while remaining hands-on in the delivery of projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and leading a team of Lead Designers and Drafters
- Overseeing residential design projects from concept through to documentation
- Acting as a key client-facing contact for builders, developers, and private clients
- Ensuring design quality, consistency, and compliance across all projects
- Contributing to drafting when required using Revit
- Working closely with builders and developers to deliver practical, buildable designs
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Building Design or Architecture
- Proven experience in residential design, ideally in a leadership or senior role
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Experience managing or mentoring design teams
- Proficiency in Revit
- A professional presentation and confident approach when dealing with clients, builders, and developers
- A collaborative mindset suited to a small, high-performing team environment
- $120,000 + Super + Performance Bonuses
