Design Manager
A well-regarded Brisbane based builder known for delivering architecturally focused commercial projects is seeking a Design Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys working on high-quality, detail-driven builds and is keen to make an impact within the business.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and coordinate the design process across all project stages, from early concept through to construction delivery
- Manage consultant relationships, design meetings, documentation flow and technical queries
- Ensure buildability, cost efficiency and compliance are considered throughout the design development process
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, and Commercial teams to align design outcomes with program and budget
- Support value engineering, design reviews and problem-solving during construction
- Champion quality, attention to detail and consistency across all project documentation
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience as a Design Manager or similar role within commercial construction
- Brings strong technical knowledge, attention to detail and confidence navigating complex design information
- Communicates clearly and can manage consultants, stakeholders and internal teams with ease
- Understands buildability, sequencing, services coordination and the practical constraints of construction
- Enjoys a collaborative, team-oriented environment with a focus on high-end, architectural outcomes
