Design Manager

Design & Build Recruitment is seeking a Design Manager to join our clients team based in their Brisbane office. This role is integral to ensuring that project designs align with quality, expectations, budget constraints, and construction requirements. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects from concept to handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage design, cost, and scope to meet development budgets.
- Review and ensure design documentation aligns with construction team needs.
- Coordinate all design-related aspects to ensure compliance with project and client requirements.
- Lead and collaborate with consultant teams, ensuring timely and accurate design development.
- Maintain and manage all project documentation, including RFIs and DA conditions.
- Ensure seamless handover from design to the project delivery team, maintaining budget clarity and intent.
- It is preferred that you come from a commercial construction background – either in design, or project management.
- High degree of "constructability" knowledge.
- Relevant qualification in Construction, Architecture, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD knowledge being an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
