We’re seeking a talented and driven Design Manager to join a dynamic workplace design studio in Melbourne. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle—from client engagement and concept design through to documentation and delivery—while leading a small, high-performing team.
You’ll play a key role in shaping innovative workplace environments, managing multiple projects, and ensuring design excellence across all stages. You will play a key part in concept and design for the projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client interactions including briefings, presentations, and relationship management
- Drive concept design, space planning, and layout development for workplace projects
- Oversee and contribute to Revit documentation and detailing
- Produce or direct high-quality 3D renders and visualisations
- Manage and mentor a team
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously (ranging from 500–5,000 sqm)
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high design standard
- Remain hands-on (“on the tools”) while leading the team and managing workflow
- Proven experience in workplace / office interiors design
- Strong Revit proficiency (essential)
- Background in Design & Construct (D&C) highly regarded
- Confident client-facing skills with strong presentation ability
- Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring a team
- Strong creative flair with a sharp eye for design and detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
