Designer

We are seeking a talented and driven Residential Designer to join a forward-thinking Perth-based builder. In this role, you’ll help shape the future of homes by combining design flair, technical excellence, and construction practicality. You will lead the design journey, from concept through to working drawings, ensuring compliance, buildability, and visual impact.

You’ll work closely with clients, estimators, engineers, draftspeople, and the construction team to deliver homes. Your designs should be smart, sustainable, and market-ready.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design single storey residential homes, modern and functional, with strong visual appeal
• Produce full concept plans, schematic design, developed design, documentation, and working drawings
• Create realistic visualisations / renders using Twinmotion (or similar) to convey design intent
• Ensure all designs comply with the NCC, WA R-Codes, planning regulations, and energy / sustainability standards
• Liaise with structural engineers, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical challenges
• Contribute to and maintain a standard design library (typical plans, details, finishes)
• Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring deadlines are met
• Engage with clients to understand needs, present design proposals, and make revisions as required
• Stay up to date with industry trends, building methods, materials, and software tools.
