Design & Build has partnered with an EPC contractor delivering complex HV substation and energy projects across the NEM.
This role will suit someone who understands delivery end-to-end, from design through to commissioning, ideally across HV power plants or HV substations within the NEM.

As an Engineering Manager within this EPC, you will be responsible for leading a small team, supporting project delivery, and managing key stakeholder interfaces.
You will work closely with the Project Director to drive successful project outcomes, providing oversight across both engineering and commissioning phases, and ensuring alignment between design, construction, and delivery teams throughout the full project lifecycle.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and manage an engineering team on multiple HV projects such as HV Substation
- Provide oversight of engineering and commissioning activities from design development through to testing and installation
- Support the Project Director in driving delivery strategy, programme, and resource planning
- Ensure effective coordination between engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to maintain programme and quality outcomes
- Manage stakeholder interfaces, including Network Service Providers (including TransGrid)
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and delivery performance to senior leadership
- Drive outcomes across safety, quality, programme, and commercial objectives
- Demonstrated experience across HV substations, HV power plants, and/or energy infrastructure projects within the NEM
- Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, from design through to commissioning and installation
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering or project teams
- Well-developed stakeholder management skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering
- RPEQ / RPEV (or eligible) is highly regarded
