The Company:
A growing Perth based builder delivering high quality residential, multi-unit, and small commercial projects and they're looking for a sharp, experienced Estimating Manager ready to lead a small team and take ownership of the estimating function.
The Role:
This is your chance to step into a leadership role and shape the way they price, cost and win work. You’ll be managing a team of two estimators and working closely with leadership to ensure the work is accurate, competitive and profitable.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage and mentor a team of 2 estimators
- Oversee BOQs, cost plans, tender submissions and variations
- Maintain recipes and cost databases
- Source, assess and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Collaborate with Design, Sales and Construction to align scope and costs
- Identify risks, improve processes, and refine pricing strategy
- Ensure compliance with WA building codes, NCC and tolerances
- 5+ years’ experience in residential or commercial estimating (WA market preferred)
- Experience leading or mentoring others
- Strong knowledge of local construction methods, trades, and suppliers
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g. Buildxact, CostX, Truth engine or similar)
- High attention to detail and strong commercial acumen
- Confident communicator with a proactive, problem solving mindset
- Able to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines under pressure
- $110k - $140k + Super
