An established and highly respected Tier 3 commercial builder is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead its pre-construction and estimating function across a diverse portfolio of institutional and commercial projects valued up to $20M.

This role is ideal for a seasoned Senior Estimator or Estimating Manager looking to step into a key leadership position where your input will directly influence project success, tender strategy and business growth.
The Role Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will take ownership of the estimating function and oversee tenders from inception through to submission and project handover.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing end-to-end tendering across projects ranging from $2M – $20M
- Developing competitive pricing strategies and preparing detailed cost estimates
- Leading tender review meetings and bid strategy discussions
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and scope documentation
- Managing subcontractor and supplier pricing, negotiations and relationships
- Conducting cost planning, feasibility assessments and value engineering exercises
- Identifying risks, opportunities and cost-saving initiatives during pre-construction
- Working closely with project delivery teams to ensure seamless project handovers
- Supporting the ongoing development and improvement of estimating systems and processes
- Proven experience as a Senior Estimator or Estimating Manager within a Tier 2, 3 or 4 commercial builder
- Strong exposure to institutional, commercial, education, government, health or community projects
- Experience pricing projects ideally in the $5M – $20M+ range
- Strong commercial acumen and excellent knowledge of construction methodology
- Established subcontractor relationships within the Victorian market
