Estimator
Design and Build Recruitment is searching for an estimator with experience working with the commercial construction space. The successful applicant will have a specific focus on fitout projects up to $10M, and new build projects up to $5M. The projects are across multiple sectors including education, retail, government, health, entertainment, office, and retail. Their focus is to produce high-quality fitout and new build projects, whilst always delivery excellent service and experience to their clients.
Responsibilities:
- Creating tenders from first principals
- Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers
- Risk analysis of project via the plans and also programs
- Collecting and analysing the scope of works to estimate the cost of labour, machines, subcontractors, time and any other associated costs which may impact the project
- Setting programs and budgets from structure through to handover
- Have at least five years post graduate experience as an Estimator
- Proven experience sitting in tender meetings, working closely with clients.
- Have experience tendering & winning projects valued up to at least $5mil.
- Confident liaising with architects, engineers and other consultants
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage a program to time and budget
- Effective communicator
