The role will work within the estimating team of a couple other Estimators, in a junior-mid-level capacity. The successful candidate will be production estimating on all projects.
As the Estimator, you will be responsible for:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for standard home designs.
- Analyze plans, specifications, and site requirements to determine materials and labor needs.
- Generate quotes, tender documentation, and pricing proposals for clients, BOQs and purchase orders.
- Collaborate with sales, design, and construction teams to ensure cost accuracy.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of material costs, subcontractor rates, and building regulations.
- Review variations and change orders to update estimates accordingly.
- Tertiary qualifications in construction or a trade background
- Experience pricing and delivering custom homes
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience negotiating rates
- Good understanding of margins
- Ability to work Monday to Friday in an office and committing to a full-time role.
