Estimator opportunity with a well-established construction business delivering fit-out, refurbishment and new-build projects across Sydney and NSW.
The business works across the commercial, education, health, aged care, hospitality and community sectors, with projects valued up to $40M. Operating as a smaller, agile team within a larger construction group, they offer a hands-on and collaborative environment backed by strong systems, capability and long-standing client relationships.
The Role
As an Estimator / Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in securing work across a diverse portfolio of fit-out, refurbishment and new-build projects.
Working closely with senior management and the wider pre-construction team, you will be involved throughout the tender process from initial pricing and subcontractor engagement through to final submission and project handover.
The Role:
- Prepare estimates, cost plans and tender submissions across projects valued up to $40M
- Manage subcontractor and supplier pricing enquiries
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
- Participate in tender reviews, risk assessments and bid strategy meetings
- Work closely with project delivery teams to ensure smooth handover of successful tenders
- Previous experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within commercial construction
- Experience pricing fit-out, refurbishment or new-build projects for a head contractor
- Strong understanding of construction methodology, subcontractor markets and tendering
- Good commercial acumen with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
