The Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for managing the organisation’s day-to-day financial activities and ensuring records are accurate, compliant, and well maintained. You will play a key role in supporting sound financial governance and smooth business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily bookkeeping and payroll activities, including invoicing, expense processing, account maintenance, and reconciliations
- Prepare and submit statutory and compliance-related returns, including activity statements, superannuation, payroll-related obligations, and year-end reporting
- Produce budgets, regular financial reports, and forward-looking forecasts, supporting cash flow oversight and project financial setup
- Ensure financial records are accurate, up to date, and maintained in line with regulatory and legislative requirements
- Provide financial reporting, insights, and ad hoc analysis to support senior leadership and governance decision-making
- Review and enhance financial processes, contributing to the maintenance of internal financial procedures and documentation
- Coordinate with management and external accounting partners during year-end and audit-related activities
About You:
- Previous experience in a Financial Officer/Bookkeeping role
- Cert IV in Finance and Bookkeeping
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Experience using Xero
- Renumeration package $75k - $85k + Super pro-rata, depending on experience
- Office based in Brisbane
