We are partnering with a well-established, privately owned construction and development business with a strong pipeline of projects across NSW.

They are seeking a motivated Accountant to join their finance team in a hands-on role supporting multiple entities across project and asset portfolios.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level Accountant looking to build their experience in a construction environment, with exposure to project accounting, development finance, and end-to-end reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with rental income reconciliation and day-to-day bookkeeping across development and asset entities
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring accurate coding and supporting documentation
  • Support month-end close, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
  • Assist with intercompany recharges, invoicing, and WIP tracking
  • Prepare BAS and support PAYG, FBT, and other compliance requirements in conjunction with external accountants
  • Provide support to the Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate cost allocation to projects
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations
  • Support loan account reconciliations and interest calculations
  • Maintain the fixed asset register, including depreciation and asset tracking
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of financial reports
  • Support P&L reporting and variance analysis
  • Process payroll journals and assist with payroll-related reconciliations
  • Provide financial support to project and site teams
  • Assist with ad hoc finance tasks and process improvements
About You
  • 2–5 years’ experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
  • Experience within construction, property, or a project-based environment is highly regarded
  • Understanding of month-end processes and reconciliations
  • Exposure to BAS, GST, and general compliance requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with both finance and operational teams
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to manage competing priorities
