They are seeking a motivated Accountant to join their finance team in a hands-on role supporting multiple entities across project and asset portfolios.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level Accountant looking to build their experience in a construction environment, with exposure to project accounting, development finance, and end-to-end reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with rental income reconciliation and day-to-day bookkeeping across development and asset entities
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring accurate coding and supporting documentation
- Support month-end close, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Assist with intercompany recharges, invoicing, and WIP tracking
- Prepare BAS and support PAYG, FBT, and other compliance requirements in conjunction with external accountants
- Provide support to the Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate cost allocation to projects
- Assist with Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations
- Support loan account reconciliations and interest calculations
- Maintain the fixed asset register, including depreciation and asset tracking
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of financial reports
- Support P&L reporting and variance analysis
- Process payroll journals and assist with payroll-related reconciliations
- Provide financial support to project and site teams
- Assist with ad hoc finance tasks and process improvements
- 2–5 years’ experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
- Experience within construction, property, or a project-based environment is highly regarded
- Understanding of month-end processes and reconciliations
- Exposure to BAS, GST, and general compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills and ability to work with both finance and operational teams
- Proactive attitude with the ability to manage competing priorities
