What You'll Be Doing
As a Fire Safety Practitioner, you will be a key part of the team delivering high-quality compliance services across various building types. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting Annual Fire Safety Statements (AFSS) inspections and audits in line with NSW regulations.
- Providing expert advice on BCA and Australian Standards relating to essential fire safety measures.
- Preparing compliance documentation and liaising with clients, councils, and certifiers.
- Quoting works following inspections or client requests.
- Supporting the growth of the fire division by contributing to process improvement and client development.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Accreditation under the Fire Protection Association Australia (FPA) with all 36 measures for NSW Fire Safety Practitioners.
- Strong working knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation and applicable fire safety standards.
- Demonstrated experience conducting AFSS inspections and preparing compliance reports.
- The ability to scope and quote fire compliance and rectification works.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
