The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity exists for a capable Foreman to join an experienced construction team and play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of a Sydney-based project.
Working closely with the Site Manager, you’ll take ownership of designated areas and trade packages, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality.
This would suit a hands-on Foreman who takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail and is looking to continue developing their career with a builder offering exposure to high-quality projects.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating subcontractors, trades and daily construction activities
- Managing designated work areas and trade packages
- Driving short-term programming, sequencing and construction milestones
- Monitoring workmanship and ensuring high standards of quality are maintained
- Reviewing drawings and coordinating works with the wider project team
- Identifying and resolving construction and buildability issues
- Managing site inspections, QA documentation and defect rectification
- Maintaining high standards of WHS and site presentation
- Coordinating materials, deliveries and site logistics
- Working closely with the Site Manager to ensure works remain on program
- Building strong working relationships with subcontractors, consultants and the wider project team
- Proven experience as a Foreman within the Sydney construction market
- Strong building knowledge and understanding of construction methodology
- Experience across residential, commercial or similarly detailed construction projects
- Confident coordinating multiple subcontractors and work fronts
- Strong understanding of programming, sequencing, QA and WHS
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship
- Trade background, ideally carpentry, highly regarded
- Ambitious and looking to continue progressing within site management
- Salary up to $180,000 + Super, depending on experience
