Divisional Manager / General Manager – Queensland
Design & Build Recruitment have partnering with a leading national Design & Construct head contractor within the commercial fitout space to appoint a Divisional Manager / General Manager to lead and grow their Queensland operations.
This is a senior leadership opportunity to take ownership of the Queensland business unit, driving strategy, performance, and culture while overseeing the successful delivery of high-quality commercial fitout projects.
The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for:
- Full P&L responsibility for the Queensland division
- Leading, mentoring and developing project delivery and operational teams
- Driving business growth through client relationships and strategic tendering
- Overseeing project performance, risk management and commercial outcomes
- Implementing national strategy at a state level while contributing to wider business planning
- Strengthening market presence and brand reputation across the QLD fitout sector
- Guiding all delivery activities and quality
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience as a General Manager, Divisional Manager, State Manager, Project Director or Senior Project Manager
- Strong background in Design & Construct commercial fitout projects
- Proven track record managing high-performing teams and profitable portfolios
- Established relationships within the Queensland construction and property market
- Strategic mindset balanced with hands-on operational leadership
- Desire to operate with autonomy while being backed by a collaborative national framework
