As a respected member of the WA Construction Industry, the primary function of the Group Technical Manager is to work with the various brands to maintain consistency and ensure they manage quality and standards at all times, across the group.
Overview of the role:
The duties of the role require but will not be limited to the following;
- Monitor compliance with quality standards, procedures, and legislative requirements.
- Audit work in progress through regular and targeted site inspections.
- Produce and distribute Technical Bulletins to update divisions on construction methodology, ensuring best practice and adherence to statutory building standard updates.
- Prepare routine and ad-hoc reports, briefings, and updates on implementation progress, identifying opportunities for improvement and training.
- Attend sites, on request, to inspect specific issues raised by clients and provide feedback to Divisional Construction Managers.
- Support the training and development of Site Supervisors in collaboration with Construction Managers.
- Review, update, and enhance Quality Systems with consideration for commercial feasibility and practical application.
- Issue Notices to Rectify for identified defects and conduct follow-up inspections within appropriate timeframes.
- Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- At least Ten (10) years’ experience in the Construction Industry.
- Experience in qualitative risk assessment, development and monitoring of risk controls.
- Skill in conducting and interpreting audits and reviews.
- High attention to detail essential.
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Up to $150,000 + Super
- Fully expensed company vehicle
