Our client is a well-established Tier 2 electrical contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering commercial, industrial and mission-critical projects across Victoria. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced HR Manager to lead and develop their people function.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Directors, you'll take ownership of all aspects of Human Resources across the business, partnering with managers to ensure best practice across recruitment, employee engagement, performance and compliance.
You'll play a key role in building a positive workplace culture while ensuring the business remains compliant with Australian employment legislation.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding.
- Support managers with employee relations, performance management and disciplinary matters.
- Lead recruitment activities for both office and site-based positions.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and initiatives.
- Provide advice on Fair Work legislation, awards and employment compliance.
- Coordinate training, development and succession planning initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement and wellbeing programs.
- Maintain HR systems and employee records.
- Partner with leadership to support organisational growth and workforce planning.
- Assist with remuneration reviews and performance appraisal processes.
- Previous experience as an HR Manager, Senior HR Advisor or HR Business Partner.
- Experience working within construction, electrical, engineering, building services or a related industry is highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of Australian employment law and Fair Work legislation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and build trusted relationships across all levels of a business.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
