Design & Build are supporting our client—renowned for their excellence in the Civil Construction and Mining sector—as they expand their Health & Safety team. They are currently seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join their operations on a 2:1 FIFO roster. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team within a well-established organisation.

Our client, a well-established and successful contractor with a strong presence across Western Australia, is experiencing continued growth across a variety of civil and mining projects. With a solid track record built over many years in the industry, they are now looking to expand their team and seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join their team.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of health, safety, and emergency management strategies that meet client specifications.
  • Present on HSE related topics at pre-start meetings and Toolbox Meetings as required
  • Develop comprehensive HSE documentation for projects, including risk assessments, HSE Management Plans, SWMS, and site induction materials and training packages
  • Direct, mentor, and provide guidance to the project health and safety team, ensuring effective supervision and safety oversight.
  • Organize and lead audits, site inspections, and control assessments to ensure compliance and safety standards are met.
  • Facilitate risk assessment workshops and contribute to the creation of construction method statements.
  • Lead thorough investigations into incidents, ensuring all reviews are conducted systematically and effectively.
  • Identify and facilitate training initiatives to enhance team skills and competencies in health and safety practices.
 
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Cert IV Work Health and Safety
  • Previous experience in the Civil Construction Industry 
  • Experience on road projects is advantageous
  • Cert III Civil Construction (highly regarded)
  • HR license is desirable
