Role Overview:
After winning a new and exciting contract our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HSE Advisor to join the team. The successful candidate will support the development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel involved in these critical activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of HSE policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols during blasting and painting operations.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on HSE matters, including conducting safety briefings and training sessions.
- Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near misses, recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant HSE regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers and teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
- Assist in the preparation of HSE reports and documentation for stakeholders.
- Cert IV, Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar HSE role, preferably within the maritime or industrial sectors.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and standards.
- Strong understanding of HSE legislation, risk assessment, and accident investigation techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities.
