This is a sole advisor position supporting multiple projects, so we're seeking someone who can work autonomously, manage their own workload, and provide practical support to project teams and site personnel when needed.
The role would suit someone who is hands-on, approachable, and confident building relationships with site teams, subcontractors, and clients. Strong interpersonal skills are essential — we're looking for someone who can positively influence safety outcomes and become a trusted member of the team, not just manage compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing HSEQ support across multiple construction projects
- Conducting site inspections, audits, and general HSEQ activities
- Assisting project teams with safety processes, SWMS, incident investigations, and compliance requirements
- Building strong working relationships with site teams, subcontractors, and clients
- Supporting and promoting a positive, practical safety culture
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across projects
- Providing day-to-day guidance and support where required
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a HSEQ, Safety, or Advisor role within the construction industry
- Experience across commercial, residential, industrial, civil, infrastructure, or fit-out projects will be considered
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Practical, solutions-focused approach to safety
- Adaptable and willing to support teams where needed
- Organised, proactive, and self-sufficient
- Relevant HSEQ qualifications highly regarded
