Commissioning Lead – High Voltage Projects – Melbourne
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Lead to take responsibility for the successful delivery of high-voltage (HV) infrastructure projects in Melbourne, with exposure to national projects. This role combines commissioning, testing, and design support across substations, distribution networks, and data centre builds.
About the Role:
In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end commissioning and technical delivery. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, provide technical design and test support, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to national projects, expanding your exposure and experience across a variety of HV infrastructure works.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commissioning, testing, and handover of HV projects in Melbourne and on national assignments.
- Provide design and technical support where required, including troubleshooting and verification.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure project delivery meets quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, client specifications, and safety procedures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, subcontractors, and clients.
- Drive a culture of safety, quality, and accountability across all project activities.
- 5+ years’ experience in high-voltage commissioning, testing, or technical project delivery.
- Experience in substations, earthing, distribution networks, and data centre builds is a plus.
- Electrical licence preferred.
- Strong design and technical experience highly desirable.
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and quality.
- Degree or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Permanent Melbourne-based role with exposure to national projects.
