The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has become available with a well-established and highly respected HVAC contractor that is continuing to expand into the Tier 1 market.
The business delivers technically complex HVAC projects across commercial, industrial, healthcare, data centres and education, working across both Tier 2 and Tier 1 environments. Due to a significant increase in tender opportunities, they are looking to expand their estimating team and are open to Junior, Intermediate and Senior HVAC Estimators.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on landmark projects and highly technical D&C developments, with the backing of an experienced estimating team. Junior Estimators will also be supported and trained by senior members of the team, making this an excellent environment to develop your estimating career.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive tenders for commercial HVAC projects
- Review project documentation, drawings, specifications and scope of works
- Develop detailed cost estimates, including labour, materials, plant and subcontractor costs
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants and internal project teams throughout the tender process
- Assist with tender submissions, value engineering and commercial negotiations
- Experience in HVAC estimating, ideally within a commercial contracting environment
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, construction methodologies and project delivery
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Junior candidates with relevant HVAC engineering, drafting, project engineering or trade experience are encouraged to apply — full training can be provided
- Senior Estimators earning up to $180k + super
