Working with an established and highly regarded HVAC contractor specialising in technical upgrades, refurbishment and complex mechanical services projects, we are looking for an experienced HVAC Site Manager to join a major shopping centre refurbishment project in Sydney.
This is a large-scale project involving the construction of a new floor above the existing centre, alongside extensive retail store refurbishments and mechanical services upgrades. The role will suit a Site Manager who is technically strong, highly organised and confident coordinating HVAC works alongside multiple other trades and services.
The Opportunity

- High level of autonomy across site delivery, coordination and day-to-day management
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of HVAC works, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to programme.
- Coordinate HVAC works with electrical, fire, hydraulic, structural and other building services trades to minimise clashes and maintain project progress.
- Read, interpret and coordinate mechanical drawings, specifications and documentation, identifying issues and communicating requirements to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage site logistics including deliveries, materials, access, labour requirements, subcontractors and daily work sequencing.
- Oversee SWMS, QA, site inspections, documentation and compliance while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
- Proven experience as an HVAC Site Manager, Site Supervisor or similar role within commercial HVAC construction or refurbishment.
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, including car park exhaust, smoke exhaust, dedicated plant and rooftop packaged units.
- Ability to confidently read and interpret mechanical drawings and coordinate HVAC works with other building services.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage subcontractors, deliveries, site activities and competing priorities.
- Trade-qualified HVAC/Refrigeration background preferred, with solid experience delivering complex commercial projects.
