What your day looks like:
- Project Leadership: Oversee the mechanical engineering aspects of HVAC projects, ensuring successful delivery within time and budget constraints.
- Design Oversight: Manage and review HVAC system designs, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and best practices.
- Team Collaboration: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, drafters, and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Client Interaction: Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, addressing queries and ensuring satisfaction with project outcomes.
- Quality and Compliance: Ensure all mechanical engineering work adheres to regulatory standards, safety guidelines, and quality assurance processes.
- Proven experience leading HVAC design on large-scale Tier 1 commercial, healthcare, education, or data centre projects ($20m+ mechanical value)
- Strong technical capability across chilled water, heating hot water, ventilation, smoke control, and complex plantroom design
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor design teams, coordinate with consultants/builders, and drive outcomes through all project stages
- Experience in managing design risk, value engineering initiatives, and maintaining programme alignment from ECI through to construction
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) with solid knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC compliance requirements
- Remuneration based on skills and experience - up to $200k plus super
