The Role
As Lead Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial performance of multiple civil projects, providing leadership and strategic direction across the full project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead a small team of Quantity Surveyors
- Ability to implement strategies to improve process
- Manage surveying costs and ensure all site activity is carried out accurately on site to avoid duplicates or reworks.
- Manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and cash flow
- Prepare and assess variations, progress claims, and final accounts
- Oversee subcontractor procurement and contract administration
- Provide commercial risk management and reporting to senior leadership
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
- Proven experience in WA civil construction (earthworks, roads, services)
- Understanding of Australian Standard and other standard form contracts.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and plans
- Strong knowledge of local subcontractor and supplier markets
- Senior commercial role with autonomy and influence
- Strong pipeline of long-term WA projects
- Stable, well-respected contractor with a collaborative team culture
