Our client is an emerging builder delivering bespoke new homes, renovations, and extensions valued up to $1.5m. With a strong pipeline of ongoing and upcoming projects, they’re looking to bring a motivated and capable Leading Hand on board to support continued growth.
This role would suit a skilled carpenter who enjoys being hands-on while taking on greater responsibility, working closely with the Director to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Acting as a second-in-charge within the business, this is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to step up and grow with the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in leading and coordinating teams across multiple sites
- Planning daily and weekly schedules, allocating work, and tracking progress
- Ordering and coordinating materials, tools, and equipment
- Ensuring site safety, compliance, and presentation standards are maintained
- Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Representing the business professionally with clients, consultants, and trades
- Working on the tools as required to support your team and keep projects on track
- Experience delivering high-end or custom residential projects
- Proven ability to lead, coordinate, and motivate teams
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, premium finishes, and site logistics
- Confidence reading and interpreting plans and drawings, with attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills and initiative
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and control
