We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Fitter to join our dynamic team. As a Maintenance Fitter, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility by maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting our machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Maintenance Fitter you will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- This Maintenance Fitter will troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify root causes to prevent downtime.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment to reduce the risk of breakdowns and extend machinery lifespan.
- As Maintenance Fitter you will install, modify, and upgrade equipment as required to improve operational efficiency.
- Work closely the other Maintenance Fitter's and the production team to address any mechanical issues that may impact production.
- As a Maintenance Fitter you will maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- The Maintenance Fitter will ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements, including food safety regulations.
- Assist in equipment overhauls and planned shutdowns as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce downtime.
- Trade qualification in Fitting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter, ideally within the food manufacturing or industrial sector.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various departments.
- Competitive hourly rate of $50 to $52 per hour.
