Afternoon Shift
Location: Auburn, NSW
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift: Monday to Friday | 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Pay Rate: $58.00 per hour + 15% Afternoon Shift Loading
Benefits: Monthly RDO | Stable Permanent Employment | Regular Overtime

Join a well-established national food manufacturing company with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and employee development. Operating from our Auburn manufacturing facility, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our afternoon shift maintenance team.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring production equipment is maintained to the highest standard, minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

  • The Maintenance Fitter will carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across production and packaging equipment
  • This Maintenance Fitter will diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently
  • The Maintenance Fitter will perform breakdown maintenance to minimise production downtime
  • As the Maintenance Fitter you'll install, service and commission new machinery and equipment
  • This Maintenance Fitter will complete maintenance documentation and work orders accurately
  • As the Maintenance Fitter you'll work closely with production teams to improve equipment reliability
  • The Maintenance Fitter will ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with food manufacturing standards
  • This Maintenance Fitter will participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase plant performance
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Fitter
  • Previous experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or a high-speed production environment (preferred)
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to prioritise work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • A proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
