We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established food manufacturing operation based in Perth. Working on a permanent afternoon shift, you will play a key role in maintaining production equipment and ensuring maximum plant reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
- Diagnose and fault-find mechanical breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Perform repairs, installations and equipment upgrades as required.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure efficient plant operation.
- Complete maintenance documentation and report on equipment performance.
- Adhere to all site safety, quality and food safety standards.
- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter.
- Previous experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, packaging or a similar production environment.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics and automated equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
