A rapidly expanding food manufacturing business based in Prospect, NSW, with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and efficiency is looking for a Maintenance Manager to join the team. With a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility
and ambitious growth plans, we’re looking for an emerging and proactive Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor
to take the lead in ensuring our operations run smoothly and reliably.
About the Role:
As the Maintenance Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations, leading a small team of two, and ensuring optimal performance of our new plant and equipment. This is a hands-on leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape the future of our maintenance function as the business scales.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Maintenance Manager you'll lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the maintenance department
- This Maintenance Manager will oversee preventative and reactive maintenance of all plant equipment and site infrastructure
- As Maintenance Manager you will develop and implement maintenance schedules, systems, and procedures
- The Maintenance Manager will supervise, coach, and develop a small team of maintenance technicians (2 direct reports)
- The Maintenance Manager will lead and collaborate with production and operations teams to minimise downtime
- A Maintenance Manager that will drive continuous improvement initiatives across equipment reliability and efficiency
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Support capital projects and new equipment installations as the business expands
- Experience as a Maintenance Manager or Supervisor in a manufacturing environment (food/FMCG experience preferred)
- Strong mechanical or electrical background with relevant trade or engineering qualifications
- Proven ability to lead and develop small teams
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach
- Familiarity with CMMS and maintenance planning tools
- Strong understanding of WHS and compliance requirements in a manufacturing setting
- $140,000 – $160,000 + Super, depending on experience
