An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Maintenance Planner to join a well-established pharmaceutical manufacturer operating within a highly regulated GMP environment.
This is a key role within the engineering team, responsible for improving equipment reliability, driving planned maintenance activities, and supporting the ongoing performance of a modern manufacturing facility. The Role Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance across manufacturing and packaging assets, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with GMP requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance activities
- Develop detailed maintenance work packs, including labour, materials, tools and estimated durations
- Manage maintenance work orders and asset history through the CMMS (MEX)
- Coordinate maintenance activities with Production to minimise downtime
- Manage spare parts inventory, purchasing and supplier relationships
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability
- Track maintenance KPIs including PM compliance, MTBF, MTTR and maintenance backlog
- Support plant shutdowns, engineering projects and equipment upgrades
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with GMP, WHS and site quality standards
- Coordinate contractors and external service providers to ensure work is completed safely and on time
You'll ideally bring:
- Experience within pharmaceutical, food, FMCG or another regulated manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance and asset reliability principles
- Experience using a CMMS, ideally MEX
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, engineering standards and maintenance planning
- Experience managing spare parts, purchasing and supplier relationships
- Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities
- Mechanical trade qualifications or an engineering background will be highly regarded
