The Role
As Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead the day-to-day maintenance function on site, ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and driving continuous improvement across a fast-paced production environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role, where you’ll balance team supervision with technical involvement across electrical and automated systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities across production lines
- Supervise and support a team of electricians and fitters
- Drive preventative and predictive maintenance programs to improve reliability
- Troubleshoot and support complex faults across PLC-controlled equipment, conveyors, motors, and automated systems
- Plan and schedule maintenance work in line with production requirements
- Support installation, commissioning, and upgrade of new equipment
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime, waste reduction, and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and food manufacturing requirements
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting
- Trade qualified Electrician (Cert III or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a manufacturing / FMCG environment
- Previous lead or supervisory experience within maintenance
- Strong fault-finding capability across electrical and control systems
- Experience working with automated / PLC-driven equipment
- Ability to lead from the front and engage effectively with production teams
- Strong focus on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement
