Mechanical Design Engineer
We are working with a leading building services contractor that has built a strong reputation for delivering end-to-end HVAC solutions across commercial, government, infrastructure, healthcare, and education sectors. With projects ranging up to $20m in mechanical value, they combine in-house engineering and delivery expertise to provide clients with innovative, practical, and sustainable outcomes.
What your day looks like:
- Lead and deliver HVAC/mechanical design solutions across a diverse range of projects.
- Develop detailed designs, schematics, and documentation using AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Camel.
- Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and drafters.
- Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and project specifications.
- 5+ years’ experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the Australian building services industry.
- Experience working on projects up to $20m mechanical value across sectors such as commercial, healthcare, or infrastructure.
- Proficiency with design software including AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Camel.
- Chartered status or NER registration (highly regarded but not essential).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and clients.
