I'm working with a leading international contractor delivering a major infrastructure project in Sydney. Due to continued growth and an expanding project pipeline, they're looking to appoint an experienced MEP Director to lead the delivery of the project's MEP function.
This is a genuine leadership role, but they're looking for someone who has remained technically hands-on throughout their career. You'll bring a strong engineering background and extensive experience across commercial project delivery and commissioning from an MEP standpoint.
Reporting into the Project Director, you'll lead a team of Commissioning Engineers, MEP Managers and Project Engineers, providing technical direction while driving programme, commercial and operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of all MEP works, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.
- Provide technical leadership across MEP commissioning and systems integration.
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineering and commissioning professionals.
- Drive commercial performance, programme delivery and risk management across the MEP function.
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Extensive experience delivering MEP packages on major infrastructure or complex building projects.
- Strong engineering background with hands-on commissioning experience.
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
