Overview
We are working with a leading utilities and infrastructure business delivering a large scale smart metering installation project with Central Highlands Water in Ballarat.
Due to an internal move, they are looking to appoint a Project Manager to take ownership of a live, business critical project.
This is a delivery focused role managing the full lifecycle of a smart metering program, working closely with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end to end delivery of a smart metering and IoT project
- Act as the main point of contact for Central Highlands Water
- Oversee subcontractors and installation partners in the field
- Manage timelines, budgets and overall commercial performance
- Coordinate internal teams across delivery, operations and engineering
- Track progress, risks and financials through regular reporting
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard
- Experience as a Project Manager within utilities, infrastructure or energy
- Exposure to smart metering, IoT or similar infrastructure projects preferred
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing contracts
- Detail oriented and highly organised with a proactive approach
- Comfortable in a high touch point role managing multiple stakeholders
- Based in Melbourne or Ballarat, with ability to travel weekly to site
- This is not a highly technical engineering role
- The focus is on delivery, coordination and commercial project management
- This is a 12 month fixed term contract with potential to extend
- Fuel and travel costs to Ballarat can be expensed
