This position is responsible for sourcing, structuring, and delivering customised commercial energy solutions. The role focuses on designing innovative contracting arrangements that align customer needs with long-term asset and portfolio strategies.
Cultivate senior-level relationships across the energy space, build a robust opportunity pipeline, and drive transactions from concept through to execution. Success requires strong market insight, commercial leadership, and the ability to navigate complex negotiations involving multiple stakeholder.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate and deliver bespoke energy supply arrangements across a diverse customer base, including structured and hybrid commercial products.
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with senior decision-makers and offtakes.
- Lead the full commercial lifecycle of transactions, including commercial design, pricing analysis, negotiation, and contract close.
- Work closely with internal teams spanning development, finance, legal, technical, and market operations to ensure commercial alignment and risk management.
- Lead deal structuring (PPAs, storage agreements, financial hedges), pricing, and contract negotiation with various counterparties.
- Demonstrated success in delivering complex, high-value commercial agreements within competitive markets.
- Strong existing relationships with senior stakeholders across the Australian energy sector.
- In-depth knowledge of power markets, renewable assets, and commercial contracting models.
- Proven ability to translate market intelligence into executable commercial initiatives.
- High level of financial literacy, with the ability to assess and communicate commercial risk and value.
- Skilled at managing multiple concurrent negotiations while maintaining internal and external alignment.
